JACK DEL RIO looks like SHOOTER MCGAVIN

Del Rio retired from NFL linebacking in 1996 and was an NFL head coach by 2003.  How do you think that ranks among former NFL players who were the quickest to become head coaches?  You will have to read on to find out...

Del Rio, a classy gent, became the second NFL head coach to wear a suit on the sidelines since 1993 during a November 20, 2006 game.  This was opposed by NFL apparel provider Reebok at the time, but Jack and the dapper Mike Nolan convinced them to change their ways.  He took a page out of Shooter McGavin's tactics in his negotiations, being quoted as saying "Everyone seems to be coming around... Well I'm not Doug!"  And then...he lost it
